This Cinsault comes from the granite-rich soils of Los Castaños in the historic Itata Valley. The often very old 'bush vines' root deep into the quartz-rich soil without irrigation, resulting in a wine with a spectacular balance between power and elegance. The wine is extremely expressive with aromas of peach, raspberry and strawberry. What makes this Cinsault unique is its aging process: 40% matures in old oak barrels and 60% in cocciopesto amphorae. This gives the wine a full structure and a pronounced mineral character. A powerful yet refined wine that proves that the 'forgotten valleys' of Chile belong to the world's best.
