Due to the calcareous soil and a cooler microclimate in this part of Serracapelli, the tannins here ripen more slowly and delicately. The wine matures for 12 months in large Italian oak barrels and then for another 12 months in the bottle. The aromas are refined with hints of wild strawberries, rosehip, and herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and structured with silky, seductive tannins.
