'Sulla Stella' (on the star) comes from the historic birthplace of Priocca. On a gentle south-facing slope overlooking the Tanaro River and Barbaresco, the Barbera grapes enjoy a perfectly ventilated microclimate. This wine is lively and crisp, but make no mistake: behind the intriguing cherry nose lies serious power. The different micro-parcels are vinified separately in concrete and stainless steel, after which the wine matures for a minimum of 2 years on the fine lees in neutral wooden barrels. It is a Barbera that slowly unfolds and demands patient connoisseurs.
